The company Slovenski državni gozdovi d. o. o. (SiDG), owned by the Republic of Slovenia, manages the country’s state forests. As the largest forest manager in Slovenia, it oversees approximately 236,000 hectares of forest land, which represents about 20% of all Slovenian forests.
The company’s core operating principles are:
- Sustainability is the foundation of the company’s operations. With this principle, SiDG preserves forests for future generations and ensures stable forest yields, while respecting the forest as an ecosystem.
- Through close-to-nature forest management and the imitation of natural processes in forest ecosystem development, the company guides forest growth, preserves biodiversity, and strengthens forest ecosystems.
- With multi-purpose forest management, the company ensures that forests are not only a source of raw materials but also fulfil ecological and social functions, providing ecosystem services for society.
The company promotes the processing and use of wood, as well as the development of the domestic wood industry, which is its key business partner.
SiDG also performs certain public authorisations, contributing to the expansion of forests owned by the Republic of Slovenia and helping to regulate ownership relations with other stakeholders.
In 2026, SiDG will also organise the World Logging Championship, for which a dedicated reference website has been created.

The official website of the World Logging Championship 2026 – WLC 2026 is built using WordPress technology. WordPress is an open-source system used for creating and managing websites. It is a CMS (Content Management System), a platform designed to simplify the management of website content.
WordPress originally served as a system for setting up and managing blogs. You may remember the times when blogs were rare—and then suddenly they began appearing everywhere at an incredible pace.
Back then, WordPress became an essential tool for many bloggers, as most blogs were built on it. This remains true today. However, WordPress is now much more than just a blogging CMS; it also powers many professional websites, both business and personal.
The website’s design is fully tailored to the client’s wishes—every detail is crafted to reflect their vision and comply with their corporate identity guidelines (CI). With an innovative approach and meticulous attention to detail, we created a user experience that seamlessly combines aesthetics and functionality.
The website is multilingual, achieved through the GTranslate plugin.
