ABOUT THE CLIENT
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana (UL MF) is the oldest academic and scientific research institution in the area of medicine, dental medicine and biomedical disciplines in the Republic of Slovenia. In accordance with regulations, the Ordinance on Reorganisation of the University of Ljubljana, Statutes of the University of Ljubljana and Rules on the organisation and functioning of the University of Ljubljana, the Faculty of Medicine carries out the national academic and national research programme in the area of biomedicine. The Faculty’s founder is the Republic of Slovenia.
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana is an internationally recognized and established institution which cooperates academically, scientifically and professionally with the best medical schools in the world.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Faculty’s web site is made on the last version of Concreto (currently 8.3). It connects to the OpenLDAP server, which is used for user transfer, allocation of administrator user groups and user authentication.
A special feature of their web site is 2500+ pages and around 1000 users. Each unit (Departments, Institutes and Centres) has their own introductory sites and subsites within the main web site. Each unit has their own web part for their news with the possibility to publish the news on their own site + the main news site. Each subject has its own introductory site with the web part for news publication and files/materials dropping.
Another special feature of the web site is that it has 100+ administrators who are responsible for individual parts of the web site according to the administrator groups which also required the rights to be adjusted across the entire web site.
